Speaker: William Boone from the Berea Federation of Teachers, Local 1699. The Berea Federation of Teachers is made up of current and former Berea City Schools certified staff. We are dedicated to creating and maintaining quality schools and preserving collective bargaining in Ohio and throughout the nation. They are an official chapter of the Ohio Federation of Teachers and the American Federation of Teachers; the AFT is an official affiliated union of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (ALF-CIO).

Their mission is to advance the well-being of Ohioans and strengthen the quality of life in the State of Ohio by promoting equity in civil rights via a citizen-led ballot initiative. Ohio Equal Rights (OER) is currently collecting signatures for two proposed amendments in Ohio: one for marriage equality and the other for equal rights. You can read the proposed amendments here:
